The
primary purpose of the TECH~SENSE! pages
is to provide resources for technical help for you, your computer and
peripheral equipment. There are many sites where you can get help in
the form of questions and answers. The trick is to be weed out those
that may not be worth using. Some sites charge a fee for real answers.
Commercial walk-in stores are listed also where you can take a computer
for
repairs. A second category here is "Newsletters", those that provide
weekly or daily technical news. Select the links on the left to access
any of the sites. Ask Leo is a question and answer site and newsletter. You can visit the site to look up a question or problem and Leo will attempt to answer it. You can also subscribe to a weekly newsletter (free) that provides answers to common or frequently asked questions. You can ask your own question from on the site and it will usually be answered from the "FAQ". The newsletter will also list comments and answers from other subscribers. eHow is more of a general purpose site, covering many topics including technical ones. You go to the site and type in your question and they attempt to answer it. Tech Support Guy is advertised as "Free Technical Support", though they do accept donations to help defray their costs. It is a group of technical experts who volunteer their time to help you out. They say; "There's no such thing as a stupid question, but they're the easiest to answer!" They also have a newsletter for those interested. Sam's Help is (will be) a compilation of tips designed to help with many of the day to day computer hints and help. They are mainly our own findings over many years. |
